We visited the eastern portion of the city of Kyoto on a cloud-filled, rainy afternoon. The backdrop was the ancient Otowa-san Kiyomizu-dera temple established in 778 AD. Our walkthrough led us through the main hall & large veranda. Below, we found ourselves winding through a labyrinth of narrow streets lined with shops of all kinds.
