Nestled in the heart of quaint San Juan Capistrano lies the historic old mission founded by Junipero Serra in 1776. It is the 7th out of the 21 missions that spawned across southern to northern California by the Spanish. I found myself especially captivated by the layering of materials in the adobe-walled construction & roof work.
